Men’s KÜHL Rydr Pants Perfect for New Hampshire Glamping Adventures or a Day’s Hard Work
At Bear Rock, we carry smart, innovative brands that are made for the toughness of the North Country and beyond. Whether the products we carry are soft and comfortable for wearing after your ATV adventures or designed for the ruggedness of manual labor, one thing is certain: Men’s KÜHL’s Rydr Pants are the best fit before, during and after.
There are still a few weeks of ATV rentals and camping left at our Bear Rock Adventures New Hampshire glamping campground if you’re local or can peel away for one last camping trip of the year. If not, these pants can surely outfit any of your upcoming adventures or your next day on the job.
The KÜHL Story
The KÜHL brand was born in Salt Lake City, Utah mountains and is a privately owned American company. You know KÜHL clothing when you see it because it is always uniquely designed and technical. KÜHL studies human anatomy and makes clothes to perform how our bodies move. They are less worried about the look of a garment and more about the entire package, including how the clothes perform and feel.
Their website states, “Wearing KÜHL represents not only freedom of movement, but also free will.” Their choice to remain independently owned in such a competitive landscape is a part of their core values as a business. KÜHL’s adoption of the philosophy, “Question everything,” shows up in the quality of their clothing, constantly challenging the status quo.
Our tester loved the functionality of the Rydr Pants
When you look at a pair of Rydr Pants, you immediately see things like the vintage patina, reinforced pockets, gusseted crotch, reinforced back of the cuffs and an incredibly soft micro fabric interior waistband. Picking them up, you feel the fabric’s thickness and softness. The initial feel might make you wonder if you’d really be able to work and play in them because of how thick they are.
Well, I must tell you, they are perfect for both applications because, with the gusseted crotch and articulated knees, you can comfortably move around in them all day long. To test this theory, we gave a pair to our beloved Engineering Team member here at Bear Rock Adventures. His initial thought was that the fabric would be too heavy and restrictive. Mind you, this team member wears brands like Wrangler and Carhartt to work most of the time.
After wearing his Rydr Pants on the job, our tester was somewhat surprised to find they not only allowed him to move freely in and around machinery and our fleet of RZRs but that the fabrics breathed and kept him comfortable in the humid, warm air of the North Country in July. He noted that the interior microfiber waistband provided a softness, a welcome difference from his regular work clothes. Our tester also liked the reinforced pockets as well as the articulated knees.
Friends, this is a technical pant for sure, but that means KÜHL studied how people move, tested their designs and fabrics and then created a pair of pants that can not only withstand the harshness of the mountain environment but also keep you comfortable working day in and day out.
I own the winter version of this pant, the Hot Rydr. They are made with the same pattern and fabrics as the Rydr but have a floating flannel layer on the interior. They are super comfortable and soft, and you feel like you’re working in your pajamas all day…not kidding!
Men’s KÜHL Pants stand up to rigorous work and play
The KÜHL Ryder Pants are not jeans from Wrangler or a Carhartt product. But I can confirm that you will likely be more comfortable in Rydr pants than most brands. If you’re the type who likes high-performing clothes, these pants are 100% your garment. Let’s be honest: as a man stretching to step up into your tractor wearing a pair of jeans, there are all kinds of “things” going on, and none of them are good.
With the design, fabrics and stretch gusset in the Rydr, you won’t make that old man grunt or have “certain” parts feeling very uncomfortable! And these pants look just as good and perform just as well whether you’re downstate, up here with us past the Notches or hanging out near KÜHL’s HQ in the mountains of Utah!
