A well-fitted hiking boot locks your heel in place with about a thumb's width of room in front of your toes, so they never hit the front on descents.
Fit late in the day (feet swell) wearing your actual hiking socks. For insulated Bridger winter boots with heavyweight socks, consider going up a half size.

How to measure

Stand on a piece of paper in your hiking socks and mark the tip of your longest toe and the back of your heel. Measure the distance in centimeters and match it to the CM row — when between sizes, go up.

Every Oboz pair ships with a supportive O FIT insole, so there is no need to size around aftermarket insoles.
