True waist: find the middle point between the bottom of your ribs and the top of your hips — for most people this is level with the belly button.

Hip: measure the widest point around your hips and rear, tape parallel to the floor.

Inseam: measure a well-fitting pair of pants along the inside of the leg from crotch to hem.
